College of Nursing

With a noble intention of social welfare by meeting health needs of cancer patients the School of Nursing was established in 1986. The first batch of GNM  had 25 students. The School of Nursing was housed at the basement of the hospital building. Simultaneously a multi story nurse’s hostel was built to accommodate student Nurses.

A multi story beautiful building was erected in 2006. The School of Nursing was upgraded to College of Nursing in 2007. The first batch of 60 Basic B.Sc. (N) students was admitted for the session 2007-2008. Post Basic Nursing programme degree started in 2009.

The College of Nursing offered the following Programmes: –

·     Post Basic B. Sc. (N) 2 Years – 30 Seats

·   B. Sc. (N) (Basic) 4 Years – 100 Seats

·     GNM 3 Years – 60 Seats

College of nursing provides secure and comfortable environment for students to focus on their studies. The students showed 90-100% results every year.

AFFILIATION

M.D.Oswal College of Nursing has obtained permission from the Department of Research and Medical Education, Government of Punjab and is recognized by Indian Nursing Council (INC), New Delhi and is affiliated to Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot.
