From Paper to Digital: The Evolution of Nursing Care Plans in Modern Healthcare

 Topic: From Paper to Digital: The Evolution of Nursing Care Plans in Modern Healthcare A Faculty Development Programme (FDP) was conducted on the topic "From Paper to Digital: The Evolution of Nursing Care Plans in Modern Healthcare" with the objective of updating faculty members on contemporary trends in nursing care planning. The programme emphasized the transformation of nursing care plans from traditional paper-based formats to digital, standardized, and evidence-based systems. The programme was collaborated by Dr. Bency Daniel (Vice Principal), Dr. Neetu Thakur (Professor) and Mrs. Reetika (Asst. Prof.), under the expert counsel of Dr. Swapna Melchisedec, the Principal of college of Nursing. The session was effectively conducted by resource person Ms. Milcah Singh(Nursing Tutor), who shared her extensive knowledge on evolution of the nursing process, the importance of NANDA-I, NIC, and NOC classifications, and the role of electronic health records (EHRs) in improving accuracy, continuity, and quality of patient care. Modern documentation practices, clinical decision support systems, and the integration of technology in nursing assessment and planning were also discussed. This enhanced faculty’s understanding of structured, patient-centered, and outcome-oriented nursing care plans in modern healthcare settings. 30 members attended the session which was enriched by an interactive Question-and-answer and contributed to strengthening academic as well as clinical teaching practices among nursing faculty.
