The Department of Nursing Foundation of College of Nursing, Mohandai Oswal Hospital, Ludhiana organized a mandatory module presentation on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) for the students of B.Sc Nursing 1st Semester and G.N.M. 1st Year on 23rd & 25th May 2026. The objective of the program was to enhance students’ knowledge and practical understanding regarding basic life-saving techniques and emergency management.
The session was conducted by Dr. Naresh Anand, Senior Consultant, Anesthesia Department and Pain Management, Dr. Vikas Sikri, Senior Consultant and Head of Chest Medicine Department and Critical Care, Dr. Anubhooti Mahawar, Consultant, Emergency Department, and Mrs. Ramandeep Kaur, Nursing Incharge SICU.
The presenters explained the meaning, importance, indications, and steps of CPR in a comprehensive and interactive manner. Demonstrations were also conducted to familiarize students with correct chest compression techniques and airway management procedures. The presentation emphasized the importance of timely intervention in saving human lives during cardiac and respiratory emergencies.
The program witnessed active participation from students and faculty members. The presenters confidently delivered the content using audiovisual aids and practical demonstrations, making the session informative and engaging for all attendees.
Faculty members appreciated the sincere efforts, teamwork, and presentation skills of the students. The session proved to be highly beneficial in strengthening clinical knowledge and developing emergency care competencies among nursing students.
