Mohandai Oswal College of Nursing, Ludhiana celebrated International Nurses Day on 11th and 12th May 2026 with great enthusiasm, creativity, and professional spirit. The celebration reflected the dedication, compassion, and invaluable contribution of nurses towards society and healthcare services.
The celebrations commenced on 11th May 2026 with engaging student activities. A vibrant Rangoli Competition was organized under the coordination of Mrs. Baby Kanchan and Ms. Rubina, Assistant Professors, CON where students beautifully depicted themes of care, compassion, and nursing through artistic expressions. An informative and interactive Quiz Competition was also conducted under the guidance of Mrs. Deepshikha and Mrs. Reetika, Assistant Professors, CON encouraging students to enhance their professional knowledge and awareness related to nursing and healthcare.
The main celebration was held on 12th May 2026. The programme began with a warm Welcome Address by Dr. Rubia and Prof. Deepika David, followed by floral welcome of faculty members. A graceful Welcome Dance by nursing students added charm and enthusiasm to the event.
The solemn Lamp Lighting Ceremony was led by Dr. Bency Daniel, Vice Principal, faculty members of College of Nursing, DNS & ANS of Mohan Dai Oswal Hospital, Ludhiana symbolizing the light of knowledge, care, and compassionate service inspired by Florence Nightingale.
The significance of the day’s theme was beautifully presented during the Theme Unfolding session by Dr. Bency Daniel, Vice Principal, CON.
An inspiring Oath Taking Ceremony conducted by Prof. Neelam Dass reminded the budding nurses of their ethical responsibilities and professional values. The celebration further included a melodious song performance, role play, and energetic dance performances by nursing students, showcasing their talents and team spirit.
A joyful Cake Cutting Ceremony and Prize Distribution Ceremony were organized to appreciate and encourage the enthusiastic participation and achievements of students in various competitions and cultural activities.
The programme concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks by Ms. Diksha, BSc. Nursing 7th Semester student, expressing gratitude to the management, faculty members, coordinators, and students for their valuable support and contribution in making the celebration memorable and successful.
