General Nursing and Midwifery (G.N.M.) (3 Years Diploma Course)

The Admission shall be made through centralized online counselling on 10+2 merit basis, to be conducted by PNRC with in specified timelines fixed by Indian Nursing Council..

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
  • Age:- The candidate shall not be less than 17 years of age and more than 35 years on 31st Dec of the year of admission.
  • Minimum Qualification:- Qualification shall be 12 years of schooling ( 10+2 in any stream or its equivalent with minimum 45% marks for general and 40% for SC or ST students).
  • Preference shall be given to those who have passed 10+2 or its equivalent with science subjects i.e. Physics, Chemistry and Biology

Degree Awarded
Successful completion of course Candidate shall be awarded Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery and shall be certified with title - REGISTERED NURSE AND REGISTERED MIDWIFE maintained under the provisions of section14 of Punjab Nurses Registration Act 1932. Graduates can explore various career opportunities in the nursing field including Nurse Educator, Nurse Practitioner, Clinical Nurse Specialist and Nurse Administrator.
