world diabetes day observed on November 14th, 2024 on the theme “Diabetes and well-being, Breaking Barriers, Bridging Gaps” at Mohan Dai Oswal College of Nursing, Ludhiana. The program was performed under the guidance of Dr. Swapna Melchisedec, Principal and Professor CON, MOH, Ludhiana. Guest Speaker of the event Mrs. Bindu K, Professor CON, DMC, Ludhiana was warmly welcomed by Principal CON. The theme was unfolded by Dr. Swapna Melchisedec, Principal and Professor CON, MOH, Ludhiana, Ms. Dimple Pruthi, EA TO CMD MOH, Prof. Neelam Dass, Prof. Rubia, Professor, Msc Tutor Ms. Alvia, Msc Tutor Ms. Baby Kanchan, Bsc Tutor Mrs. Monika, Bsc Tutor, Mrs. Kulwinder, Bsc Tutor M. Bhawna (Department of Medical Surgical Nursing). The expert talk by Prof. Bindu K, MOH focused on an opportunity to raise awareness about diabetes, encourage early diagnosis and support those affected. Student’s of PB.B.SC 1st yr., B.sc 4th sem., GNM 2nd yr. enthusiastically participated in poster making competition and role play.

Winner of poster competition were:-

1st Prize –Ms. Neha Rani (B.sc 2nd yr.)

2nd Prize –Ms. Harmanpreet and Mr. Harman Bawa (GNM2nd yr.)

3rd Prize –Ms. Ritika Kashyap and Ms. Ritika (B.sc 2nd yr.)

The prizes were awarded to the winners and participants by the Principal, CON. The vote of thanks expressed heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the event by CON.
