She is highly organized and skilled consultant in the department of psychiatry, serving at our department of psychiatric and Mind behavioural science.
She did her graduation (MBBS) from Bharati Vidyapeeth University, Pune, where she developed an interest in Psychiatry as a branch.
She completed her internship from Sir Gangaram Hospital which is one of the best multi-speciality hospitals in New Delhi.
She then moved to Bangalore for her post-graduation which she completed at the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS) which is the apex centre for mental health and Neuroscience education in the country.
Here, she got extensive training and experience in treating a wide variety of psychiatric disorders, including elderly psychiatric illness, childhood disorders, substance use disorders, rehabilitation as well as training in specific units like schizophrenia, OCD, women’s mental health, community psychiatry., etc.
During this time, she also got hands on experience with non-invasive brain stimulation techniques such as rTMS and tDCS. She also got experience in delivering ECTs on patients.
Her research interests include women’s mental health - perinatal psychiatry, which she also covered in her MD thesis program.
Past work experience-
She has worked in Kalpana Chawla Government medical college and hospital, Karnal.
She has also worked with Artemis Hospitals, Gurugram.
